Antique Oil Painting

Click picture to enlarge.
Beautiful, framed oil painting of two girls in a meadow.

Antique painting, artist unknown. May be that hidden treasure, but certainly a delight to look at.

This lovely oil-on-canvas painting was purchased from an antique shop in downtown Martinez, California, 25 years ago. The owner paid $60.

It is approximately 2.5' x 3' in size. (If you want exact measurements, please post in the comments.)

No signature on front. Back of canvas is hidden by a protective piece of hard paper, so it's possible further information could be gleaned on closer examination by the winning bidder. On the back is typed "Spring," and these numbers: 0819-511-051.

The frame is wood and came with the painting. No condition issues with frame or painting (no chips, cracks, sun damage, etc.). It was stored in a closet and is a little dusty.

Best guess by an art school graduate: "Early-to-mid 20th Century oil painting by US artist, possibly impressionist influence."

This painting comes from a fragrance-free, smoke-free, pet-free environment.

Value: Unknown.
